22nd birthday part 2

So this was how I spent my actual birthday.Met this boy again but this time it was brunch at Au Chocolat @ MBS.We kept changing plans on where we should have our lunch at on my actual birthday.Been researching since weeks ago cos I really wanted to try something good.Considered Arteastiq and Antoinette but finally decided on Au Chocolat.

Something cropped up over at his side that very morning and I end up getting affected by it.My mood went slightly downhill and felt abit reluctant to leave house already.But it was my birthday after all,so I dragged myself out.We were supposed to meet at 12.30pm but both of us were late and he was even later.Made reservations at 1.15pm but we reached slightly later than the 15 minutes holding time but luckily there was a table available.At that time when we met,I was totally fuming mad cos he made me wait.Took me quite a while to calm those nerves down.Okay I sound like I'm super petty but cos I wasn't in a good mood in the first place so him being late kinda caused the volcano in me to erupt haha.Poor thing!

Ordered their highly raved truffle fries and boy it was awesome!I was a little skeptical about eating it as I tried once from somewhere and I didn't like the smell of truffle oil cos it smelt like petrol to me lol.But this one was really different.Wouldn't mind going back again for their truffle fries!

My overwhelming plate of Au Chocolat pancakes.A layer of stacked fluffy pancakes with crispy bacon & sliced ham served with tater tots & scrambled eggs.I felt so full after eating a pancake!Should have shared this with him.

His one is another pan of madness.The Au Chocolat Benedict.Poached eggs atop bacon,

spinach, tomatoes on an English muffin in their own hollandaise sauce infused with red wine & dark chocolate.Too much to handle right?

Super heavy brunch I must say!And a large amount of wastage sigh.

22nd birthday part 1

I shall finally get down to blogging about my 22nd birthday celebrations a week ago.My first one was with my dear boy,my favourite sister and her boyfriend.We met up at TCC @ Millenia Walk for dinner and to make use of my 50% birthday discount voucher whoot!I have been mentioning how much I missed TCC's seafood aglio olio since I stopped working last december.I finally got the chance to try it again that day since it would be on half price.If not,for $21,I would be quite reluctant to spend such an amount on a dish.Imma poor student yo.

Stepping into Millenia Walk's outlet kinda rake up some memories as I had been sent to this outlet a couple of times besides mainly working at MBS's outlet.Some good some bad.But oh well,it is good to be back at TCC as a customer.

 The oh-so-familiar galleries I used to pass to the hands of the customers.They are so heavy!

 While waiting for the 2 big shots to arrive,Baby and I ordered a drink each.I have always wanted to try their passion yuzu iced tea cos when I was working at TCC,customers used to always order this but I just didn't have the chance to try it.It smelled good but the taste was a little disappointing.Maybe it was too sweet or something cos somehow after most of the ice melted,it tasted so much better!

After what seemed like ages,the couple finally arrived.Ordered food and they came in no time.

This time,we were too full to have my other favourites such as mentaiko shrimp and buffalo wings.But anyway,here came the surprise for the night.We were all wondering if we should order some desserts to share.So my dear Serene asked for the gallery.So I was happily flipping through when suddenly,a cake arrived before me.So while I was flipping through,Ser hinted to the waitress to serve the cake which I guess they had already ordered earlier on.No wonder the bf kept asking me which cake I like when we were waiting to get seated and looking at the cake display.I was totally caught by surprise and so touched.

The long awaited day

Yesterday was really one of the most torturous days I ever had.The torture actually started on tuesday itself cos it was supposed to be the official date for the release of our results.However it was least expected that our results would be delayed,just like RMIT's.So the torture continued to drag until yesterday.Since morning,I was feeling all sorts of emotions.I just don't know how to describe it.Furthermore,I thought the results would be released in the afternoon since the email said so.But again,all thanks to myself,the email was sent from UOL and so,the time stated referred to London's time which is actually 7 hours behind our time.Again,I was tortured all the way until about 8 plus when my friend told me that the results were out.At that time,I was having dinner with my friend.I was super nervous.Even after inputting my candidate number and what not,I was covering the screen of my phone.I really didn't dare to look at it even though I've been waiting for this moment since months ago.So I finally plucked up the courage and took a peep at it.I didn't look at the marks first but the column beside it to check if I passed all.My heart sank when I saw a 'Fail' for one module,and that was Management Accounting.I was kinda expecting it but was still hoping that I would at least scrape though it.But the worst came true.I really failed MA in the end.I looked at the rest of the results and felt a little comforted.I did relatively alright for the other 3 mods,probably better than expected for Financial Management and Managerial Economics.But my results for Management Science Methods was below expectations.I thought I could secure an A for sure.But I was 2 marks away to an A.Damn sad really.The miracle was that my ME actually got an A.So for my final year,I gotta take 5 modules and pay extra for retaking MA.Money not enough luh!

Okay results aside.I have another 2 more weeks of work.I can't wait for that 2 weeks of break before school starts.The strange thing is I actually miss school.I don't mind studying longer cos I really am not looking forward to the working life.I finally understand the benefits of studying.And exactly one week later is my birthday!I can't wait to eat at TCC to enjoy my member's discount hehe!I miss their Aglio Olio manzz!And buffalo wings,shrooms bites and Mentaiko shrimp!Come to mama!!!!

My parents are planning to go to Pengerang,Malaysia tomorrow.I don't know if I should tag along.It sounds like a boring place,like kampong style.I shall think about it again.

Oh I won $200 from Insinc!Super happyyyyyy!!!The good thing is that Insinc can reward me through my bank account,which means I can cash it out wheeee!

I have a packed week ahead.Can't wait to meet my friends again!

Hifumi x St Games

After so many months,I finally had the time to meet these guys,my jc volleyball mates.Sadly,none of the girls could make it.So today it was just us 5 peeps.Initially we were considering between Ambush and Hoshino but we ended up at Hifumi partly cos there wasn't a queue and there was a free flow of appetisers for us as long as we order the set meal.Upon hearing 'free flow',we decided on it almost right away.

Surprisingly,the photos came out to be quite clear even though I took these using my phone.I didn't really enjoy the side dishes as most of them were cold dishes.The only thing that I enjoyed most was the chawanmushi.The cold soba was alright though.After upgrading for a free flow of drinks at $1.99,the damage done to my wallet after GST was about $19.Felt that it was not that worth it as I didn't eat much of the free flow appetisers.

After lunch,we were thinking where to head to since there was still time to kill.Someone suggested St Games so we walked over to The Cathay.As we wanted a private room,it was $10 per person per hour.But since Daryl and Matt were members and theirs would be $7 each.But we added everything and divided by 5 of us so each one of us paid $8.50.

One hour definitely wasn't enough.I wouldn't mind going back for more!
