My weekend workouts

Finally found some time to exercise again. I'll forever be fighting my damn tummy bulge. Need to be more disciplined in eating cleaner and incorporating some exercises in between. This weekend was fruitful cos I did 3 sets for each listed on the list. Perpired a bucket, not literally. Always love the shiok feeling after working out but it's a mental challenge to get my ass off the seat to go workout.

What I did today

Made myself this yoghurt smoothie as my post workout drink.

My saturday workout

SWEAT MORE.BITCH LESS.

Table Manners

Yesterday's brunch at Table Manners at Changi City Point. Made a reservation a few days ago cos we were so kiasu. End up the place was not so packed. There were still seats around. We were allocated the outdoor seats which we didn't mind. I like the fact that the table was big and the seats were quite spacious. I felt super comfortable when I was eating cos there was so much room for movement-not like I fidget alot but you get the point.

I like their brunch menu so much cos we could customize our own lunch set. I had a hard time deciding which one to choose so I settled for baked salmon + truffle fries + scrambled eggs. I used to dislike truffle fries so much cos I had a bad experience somewhere when it smelt like the fries were fried in petrol or something. And that was the first time I tried truffle fries. But I got over it after I gave truffle fries a chance by giving it a go at Au Chocolat. Since then, I fell in love with truffle fries. Not a good thing though cos it is still a guilty treat.

The middle one is me! Not good enough to be a chef/baker but I love cooking and baking!

My set came first and there I went snapping photos. Couldn't get the right angle so it took me quite a few photos to get a good shot of it. Love every single item on my plate that I finished it completely. Fats, protein and carbs all in a plate. But it was unhealthy carbs though.

Pretty Xiu and Jojo!

My dearest Reika!

So cute lah this girl!

Jojo left first due to some family stuff so we hung around the mall and then sat down somewhere to talk and camwhore.

Artistry

Last sunday I met my secondary school volleyball mates for brunch at Artistry. And partly to celebrate our dear friend's birthday, though it was 2 days belated. Come to think of it,we have known each other for a decade already. This year marks the start of the 11th year. We should have had a proper celebration last year. But that day we missed out on a friend who has been busy flying to and fro-the blessings of being an air stewardess.

We sat at the outdoor area which was of a better idea cos of the good lighting for photography and another reason was the indoor dining area was kinda cramped up. People would be sitting side by side and I didn't like it cos there would be no privacy and you'll always be hearing what the neighbours were talking. The outdoor area had a few tall wooden tables and stools. The stools were so deceiving to the eye cos they looked light but oh boy they were so heavy! I guess it could really withstand really heavy weights.

The menu wasn't of much variety. I had a hard time deciding what to eat. Yes I'm a really picky eater that's why the girls let me choose. Ordered the crab burger, duck confit pesto and a side of truffle fries to share between the 4 of us. The crab burger tasted a little weird, probably just not to my liking. The squid ink bun tastes quite good surprisingly. Haha do not judge a burger bun by its colour! Truffle fries were fine. The best was the duck confit pesto. My first time having pesto pasta and I loveeeeeee it! After that day,I totally went to the supermarket to hunt for a jar of pesto to add to my collection of ingredients.

After the mains, we decided to order some little cakes to share. Settled for Red Velvet Cake and Tiramisu. I couldn't tahan the alcohol in the tiramisu. A little too much for me to handle. But the girls liked it. Red velvet was okay. Somehow I guess nothing can go wrong with ordering red velvet.

Nooraini's hub and baby girl came to join us after that. Both of them went to buy an ice cream cake and little Amelia chose it for herself. Got to know that her birthday was around the corner.

Happy birthday once again to the both of you!

My Professional Career Profile

I just did the Universum Career Wetfeet Test on my career profile and somehow the results spoke almost exactly what I guess I'll most likely be.It's kinda interesting as I read it,but the whole test was a little time consuming cos there were so many questions to answer!Almost towards the end I totally skipped a couple of questions cos I was eager to get the results. But at least the results didn't differ that much.

HUNTERS tend significantly to be introverts, needing less activity and social stimulation, and being more reserved than average. They also tend to be somewhat more conscientious – more focused on order, duty, and efficiency. Hunters may be less agreeable than some peers: these types are more willing to express views that dissent from the majority, and as such they may be less sympathetic towards and trusting of others. They may also be less emotionally stable – possibly more self-conscious when confronted with stressful situations or conflict. Hunters tend to be significantly lower in openness: these types are less interested in adventure, art, and abstractions, and prefer the hunt for concrete interests, such as a challenging and financially-rewarding career. High conscientiousness and low agreeableness have been found in several studies to correlate with individual success in the workplace.

Random

Somehow I feel as though I'm getting lazier at blogging. Or perhaps cos it's time to gear up in my studies,so I have less outings and whatnots, and this means that there's nothing interesting to blog about. So now I'm just gonna talk nonsense.

It's already close to the middle of January but we still have no information about our prelim dates. But there's definitely not much time left and I feel so unprepared. I need to get back the drive and motivation. I need to get out of the house. Anywhere is good to study except for my house. Anybody wanna be my study buddy? Besides,I'm taking 5 modules this time round. Oh gosh where's my sense of urgency? Maybe I should stay in school longer on the days I have school. But then everyday study then how to exercise? I've been trying to squeeze in 20-30 minutes of random workouts and oh boy those have been kinda intensive. I could feel my heart rate shooting up within minutes. It feels really good. And I'm getting my bf to do the same too. Haha cos someone wanna lose some fats before CNY. Sounds a little challenging though. And I should start to shop for healthier food again. It sucks when I'm hungry at home and there's nothing I could munch on besides those chips etc.

Okay hopefully my next post will be more interesting.

You and I

New year.New haircut.2014 is gonna be a blast(hopefully)!
It has been a crazy 28-months with you but still looking forward to more.
Thanks for always giving in to me and tolerating my never ending nonsense.
Thanks for your patience and love.
Thanks for accepting me for who I am despite so many flaws.
You're the best I could ever ask for.
Love you to the moon and back!

New year's eve

This year's new year's eve was spent with the double Es.
Had a quick lunch at Popeye's at The Cathay.
Followed on,we danced for two and a half hours at St. Games and oh boy, dancing is indeed addictive.
I'm craving for more dancing right now manz.
Took some videos of us grooving to the beat of the songs but it's kinda embarrassing to post them up.
Below are just some random shots.

Decided to just post this gif haha!

After getting high over dancing,we wandered around Plaza Singapura before heading over to Kith Cafe for our dinner. As it was still kinda early,we ordered drinks and a plate of truffle fries to share while we kill time.As usual,I ordered my chocolate banana protein shake.Chatted for like more than an hour before making our order for dinner. We went on to order a bacon and egg pizza and mushroom aglio olio to share. It was quite an overkill haha. The bill came up to about $86 for three of us.Total madness!

We totally had no plans for the night. But decided to head to city hall area.Since we felt so full from dinner,we slowly walked over from Park Mall to Raffles City. The route there seemed so foreign to me cos I had no idea how to walk there.Followed the 2 boys aimlessly and it didn't take that long before we reached City Hall.I was thinking of chilling somewhere since there's nothing much we could do but everywhere was so crowded!Took a chance at St Marc Cafe but it was packed too.We ended up getting a takeaway at Starbucks and headed to Esplanade.Similarly, there was nothing we could do,nowhere to sit and chill,so we walked to mbs.I think we were crazy that night.Did so much walking...and dancing lol.Ultimately,we gave up and decided to head home instead of staying to catch the fireworks.Cos the thought of the crowd rushing to the train station after midnight sounded kinda scary. So yup, that was all for my new year's eve!
