Rant!

First week of school has just passed.The weekend is over too.Gonna start to gear up a little more on my studies,play less and study more.Every thursday will be my most dreaded day of the week cos I have no friends to sit in for lectures with-two modules somemore!I'm not a really social kinda person so I don't think I'll be able to make any new friends for both lectures unless someone comes and talk to me.

School week ended up with a night jog with bf at Pasir Ris Park.Took a different route on friday and it felt good.Took the route along the private estates and it was such an eye opener.I always love looking at houses and always admire those people who live in big houses and all.Compared to me,I guess this whole life I will never be able to afford such big houses.I can only imagine...So yeah,somehow running through the rows of private houses,the process of running seems so much more fulfilling and less mundane.It was such a bore to keep running the same route,looking at the same old trees and whatever is at the park.Managed to clock in a better timing but still not that good.I'm still dilligently keeping up to my workout routine everyday.Hope by the end of this year,I will have a much leaner and stronger body.

The bf has been so busy with school.During the weekdays,we seldom meet cos he ends school so late everyday except for fridays.And friday afternoons are always reserved for project meetings and all.Though we managed to meet for a jog last friday,he had to quickly go home after dinner to continue studying.Everything seems to be a rush.So this weekend,I thought I'd be able to spend more time with him so I suggested studying with him yesterday at the library.But he rejected the idea cos he felt that he would prefer studying at home.Okay I was alright with it cos he said we could meet up at night for supper.I was still feeling so excited and all,even went on to research on places we could go to.In the evening,I bathed and was getting ready and waiting for him to tell me when he's coming over.Then the next moment,I received a call from him and he told me that he couldn't get hold of the car cos his brother was gonna use the car.He said we might have to wait till a bit later since his bro was going for a mahjong session.But who plays mahjong for a while only?Confirm play till midnight or even later right?Still make me harbour that bit of hope that we would be meeting.I was so pissed off.There I was hoping to spend some quality time with him during the weekends and he had to ruin everything.Why can't he make plans ahead of time and book the car first?Making empty promises and then disappoint me in the end.Am I asking too much?

I don't know why but my temper is somehow becoming shorter.Like recently I kept getting annoyed by that boy.Small little things he said or did would get me hopping mad.And more often than not,I don't get angry only but angry and sad at the same time.Cos when I'm angry,after a while I feel bad for getting mad at him,so I get angry with myself and I start crying.But that usually happens at night so I will just cry to sleep.And at night is usually the time when my thoughts start to run wild.I will just think of all sorts of stuff and get myself even more sad.Gosh this cycle just doesn't stop.

The run






So last friday we went for the Nike Run Your Registration 2013 feeling so excited cos we don't know what would be in store for us.All they mentioned was that this run would not be just like any other run.We were kinda afraid that there might be obstacles and all.Cos after all,the deal here is that as long as we complete this run,we will get a free slot for the actual Nike run.Yah sounds too good to be true.So I thought maybe they will torture us or what not,so that it will feel like we worked hard for that free slot.But surprisingly,it wasn't as bad as we thought.What happened that day was that we were able to choose our route.Since the venue was at Fort Canning Park,there was bound to be uphills and downhills,including stairs which proved to be the killer cos it really strained my poor calves.We both started out quite in front.We were the first few behind the starting point.But when the horn sounded,everyone ran off so quickly that I had no choice but to pick up my pace.So we were both running together and each time we reached a junction,we just followed the people in front.Luckily at the second or third junction,we decided to take the uphill route instead of the downhill route cos right after that portion,we were already approaching the finishing point!It ended up to be a mere 1.7km instead of the 3km distance that they mentioned.I was guessing perhaps at the last part,if we took the downhill route,we would be running an even longer distance.Lucky us!

Poulet

It's nearing the end of this week which means that school is gonna start soon.Kinda having mixed emotions about it.I'm somehow excited cos going to school is so much better than working but I'm also dreading the routine of studying once school starts.This will be my final year already.Taking 5 modules ain't gonna be an easy feat.Gotta work doubly hard already.

On wednesday,I've finally met my dear sharkie after what seems like months for a dinner and I guess a post birthday celebration for me.This dinner date has been postponed for 2 times and we both could finally make it on that day.Our venue to meet kept changing too.We are indeed 2 fickle girls.So our final plan was to meet at Bugis plus for dinner at Poulet after hearing some seemingly positive reviews on it.Actually I've been craving for soba for quite a while and thought of having japanese food instead but since that girl wanted to try french cuisine for a change,we went ahead with that instead.

We ordered a plate of garlic and pork sausages (On their menu it was named Saucisson), a bowl of Country Side Mushroom Soup and their popular Poulet Roti (Half chicken).We shared all of these among ourselves.

The sausages were alright and between the 2 dips,I preferred the brown one which tasted kinda sweet but I have no idea what these 2 dips are.

This little bowl of mushroom soup was oh so heavenly!It was so creamy with chunks of different mushrooms in it.Together with the croutons,it is definitely a must to order this.

Here's our roasted half chicken.It seems like it wouldn't really fill up both of our stomachs but it was actually the white sauce beneath it,which is their homemade mushroom chardonnay sauce,which filled us up quickly.We massacred the chicken and in no time,it became a plate with chunks and threads of chicken meat,not a very fantastic sight.

It was a rather filling meal but sadly there wasn't any room for desserts,which looked so tempting,especially the tiramisu.I guess I will drop by one day for their desserts maybe?

Thanks to Off She Went,I managed to get quite first hand information about this.I was so excited I immediately told bf and my 2 girls.It was something I couldn't miss.Just running this 3km would entitle us to a complimentary slot for the actual Nike We Run SG which is going to happen on 3 Nov 2013.And I realize that the only run that I join every year is the Nike run.It happens to be the cheapest among all the other runs haha.Oh back to the topic.Yesterday,bf and I met at Orchard Central in the morning to start queueing for the registration at the Nike outlet.But sadly,I couldn't help my friends register for this since it's a first-come-first-served thing and they require us to produce our Identification card for verification purposes.But anyway,Im so happy I wouldn't have to pay for this year's Nike run woohoo!We chose the slot on this friday at 5.30pm after bf ends his lesson in school.Can't wait for this friday to arrive!

Egg muffins


My mid afternoon snack!Or rather my lunch,since I had breakfast at 12 noon.Hmm my first time trying this recipe and I didn't have a muffin tray so using some metal cups I have,these babies ended up being quite small.Next time I am gonna add in more ingredients.This recipe consists of 1 egg yolk+2 egg whites,some chopped ham,bits of lettuce and some of my heavenly seasonings.This time I used Mrs Dash original blend seasoning(It's awesome cos it's salt free!) and a bit of cajun seasoning.These went into the oven for an approximately 15 minutes.

It's really fun to try out new recipes,especially healthy and yummy ones!These 3 muffins are only worth 114 calories.

I Love Blogilates

This is the third day since I've started following closely to Cassey,who is quite known for her youtube channel,Blogilates.So happy I have my handy dandy exercise mat and dumbbells to aid me in this.Im feeling super motivated already.

My routine for today:

-Victoria's Secret Angel Arms
-Butt Lift and Slim Thighs
-Sexy Broom Burn
-Want You Back Arms
-Drive By Inner Thighs
-Call me Maybe Squats

These were really killer workouts.My legs felt so jelly after that and I could barely feel them.My dear bf can be the judge.Too intensive for a start.Hopefully time will do the trick and I will get a stronger core soon.

Long days

Now that work is over,I haven't really found things to occupy myself with besides staying at home and face this small netbook of mine and plainly surfing.This is probably the difference between working and not working.There's a good and bad in both.When I'm working,time passes so fast at work but nights are always so short,I barely had the time for myself.Weekends become too short and it becomes more difficult to make time to meet different people.Moreover,my sundays are usually reserved for my family unless I don't have a choice.On the other hand,without work,I seem to have so much more hours at hand that I don't know how to use.But the good thing is that I can sleep as much as I want,like what people call it as paying off my sleeping debts.

However,today I decided to resume my exercise regime.Managed to find a jogging partner and off we went to Pasir Ris Park for an evening jog.The weather was good as it was mostly cloudy.According to what I checked from Runkeeper,the last time I jogged was actually 23 July,which was before my bkk trip.That was like more than a month ago!No wonder my stamina has deteriorated by leaps and bounds.Managed to pull through a roughly 4km run but I felt super awful after that.Dizzy spells and the feeling of puking attacked me.Took a rest on the bench for quite a long while before I felt better.On the way back,I felt giddy again and had no choice but to sit somewhere along the pavement cos we were at the traffic junction at that time.It was so embarrassing!I believe people must be wondering what I was doing right then.I guess I didn't eat enough today and I kinda pushed myself too hard,considering the fact that I haven't been running for quite a while.I thought it would be alright to push myself a little so that I could improve faster but this time,it didn't work that way.Came home feeling weak all over.I hope the next run would be better!
