This is my very first time getting involved in an event by Ben and Jerry's.I don't mean that I'm helping out at the event,but rather going for the event itself haha.Even their yearly Free Cone Day and previous Chunk Fests,I have never been to one before.Like a noob!
So anyway,Chunk Fest 2013 was held at The Promontory at Marina Bay.It is walking distance from MBS and Raffles Place.Met the bf first while waiting for the other couple.When the two of us reached the venue,we stood at the entrance staring at the oh-so-awesome muddy surroundings.Thanks to the rain earlier in the morning,the whole event area was mostly muddy.It was so gross.And the fact that I was wearing a new pair of loafers made it worse.I saw people walking around barefoot.Some even wrapped their feet in plastic bags.Quite smart right?But we just braved through the mud,trying our best to minimise the damage done to our shoes.
This was the map to help us navigate around the event area.We exchanged $5 worth of tokens to be used to play the games at the booths.We exchanged more coins again after that for the ice-cream.
Tadaaaa no more braces!!!!I feel so weird now after getting so used to how I look like in braces.Everytime I look at myself in the mirror,I feel so awkward.
Okay I played this game.We just had to lift the potatoes up from the ground and then you win something.So easy right!And the prizes range from mugs to iphone covers and laptop sleeves.Most of the time we got to choose our prize.We bagged home a total of 3 mugs lol!
New flavourssssss!!!But sadly the Red Velvet Cake flavour doesn't come in scoops but pints.$20 for a pint leh!So expensive T.T
When the other couple arrived,we went to change more coins for the ice-cream.The 4 of us shared 2 scoops of ice-cream-Americone Dream and Yogurt Raspberry Fudge Chunk.Basically,the Americone Dream flavour consists of vanilla ice-cream with fudge-covered waffle cone pieces plus a caramel swirl.It was so damn good I liked it alot!Managed to satisfy my sweet tooth.For the Yogurt Raspberry Fudge,as the name suggests,it is just raspberry frozen yogurt with fudge chunks.Comparing these two,I still preferred the Americone Dream!

We didn't stay that long at that place.We slowly walked over to Raffles City and had our dinner at Din Tai Fung.Oh my yummy egg fried rice,xiao long baos,spicy noodles etc.I'm salivating at the thought of what I had yesterday.
After dinner,we headed over to Switch by Timbre for some drinks.My first time there and I kinda like the environment.There's air con and the tables are generally quite big.The best is it wasn't so cramped up so there was more privacy.I totally dislike sitting so close to other people.So awkward when we can hear other's conversations and when people can hear ours too.The 3 of them ordered beers,while I had my mocktail.I hate beer and I don't really like the taste of alcohol.High calories too!!!

It was a great saturday spent with such lovely people.Most importantly,we all had fun:)
