On tuesday,I had school till 6.30pm.The bf was supposed to end school at 6pm,which was why we thought we could meet up somewhere near clementi/west area for our post-monthsary dinner. The actual day was on monday but that boy had been quite caught up with school stuff so we decided to squeeze some time out on tuesday instead, just a day later. But on tuesday afternoon,he told me that he was home early. He probably had a long break in between and didn't wanna stay so long just for that last lecture or something like that.Haha.So,he decided to drive over to my school from home! His dad was overseas so there's no one using the car.I was so happy to hear that cos I love it when he drives.I love car rides! But will definitely minimise travelling by car cos I don't wanna seem like a pampered girl who likes to be chauffered around hahaha.
After some consideration,we chose to go to The Grandstand.Been wanting to go there for quite a while cos I heard there are some good food over there, and of course the must-go place is Pasarbella! But by evening time the market place would have already closed. So it was abit wasted that I'm gonna miss it.The main attraction of Pasarbella is probably their market.Besides,I love grocery shopping. It would have been an eye-opener.
We settled our dinner at Omakase burger. When I looked at the prices,I didn't really wanna dine there but that boy wanted to try cos he did some research and heard probably some good reviews about it.And he's treating so why not right?I wouldn't mind settling for some simple food at the food court too.Hehe.But he insisted.
We ordered this parmesan baked chicken to share and added a side of onion rings. The reason why we chose this was cos it was baked.Healthier alternative! But not for the onion rings cos they were deep fried!Anyway,I didn't really like the parmesan taste on the chicken. It tasted a little weird. So I removed all the skin and ate just the meat. The portion would be a little too much if I were to have the 2 chicken parts but not filling to have just 1.I guess I was quite hungry at that time so we thought we could later get some small bites.
Comes with raisin bread too.But gave the whole bun to that boy to stuff himself with hahaha!
When dinner was done,we walked over to Pasarbella. It was quite dark inside. Many stalls were closed. But we could still walk in cos only a small number was still open.No fate this time round.Maybe next time I'll come visit this place again since they offer a shuttle bus service but I'm not too sure of the details of it.Will do more research when the time comes!
Very cute icons outside the washroom!
The funny thing was we got lost halfway. We wanted to walk back to the entrance only to realize that they have locked the gate at the entrance. But walking to the other entrance at the opposite end means we will have to walk an extra big round to go back to where we came from.So we toured around, took the lift but ended up back to Pasarbella.Had no choice but to walk out of the other entrance. But it was a blessing in disguise. We took this chance to explore more of the place and then something attracted us.This shop by the name of Latte e Miele sells gelato, waffles, cakes etc.The main thing that attracted us was the promotion going on.Every tuesdays, students are entitled to a Grande cup of gelato at 50% off! This means that a cup of gelato with 2-3 flavours that you can choose from would cost only SGD3.75!Ain't this a deal not to be missed? We were so excited when we saw it and immediately walked into the shop.
The flavours were quite interesting. We chose brownie, lavender white chocolate and sakura. The most unique one was the lavender white chocolate.Initially I thought it would taste more of white chocolate but I was so wrong! The lavender taste was overwhelming. It felt weird to taste lavender cos it really tasted like the lavender essence.Just that we usually smell lavender and not taste it so it was quite a weird experience to be eating lavender flavoured gelato. It's like eating lavender flowers. For real. The brownie tasted alright while the sakura tasted quite sweet and milky. No idea how they came up with this name.Somehow I can't link sakura with the taste of it.But all in all,it was really cheap for the quality of it.
My dear MOK with an extra L.Oh you'd like to be a cow my dear boy?
Baby with an ultra huge teddy!
