Tim Ho Wan x Monoyono

The last time I met these girls was probably about a month ago, when we kinda just started working. So we decided to meet again today before Jojo and I fly off to BKK.Since today was the only free day left,we decided to meet today at Plaza Singapura as Sheryl had to work in the later afternoon.Best location as she is currently working at Monoyono,a super cool and vintage shop which sells vintage and interesting stuff.I will show you the photos I took at the shop later in this post.So we finally decided to give Tim Ho Wan a go after talking about it since ages ago.The thought of queueing for hours makes it seem like a crazy idea. But we still decided to brace ourselves for the sake of trying this highly raved dim sum restaurant.

I reached about 45 minutes before the meeting time to queue beforehand.I know I'm nice teehee.Okay I had nothing to do at home too,so it would be good to help queue first while waiting for the rest.Thankfully,Zhiwei came not long later to accompany me in queueing. So we just chatted through the 1hr and 40mins wait.Somehow it didn't seem that long, just that our poor stomachs kept protesting. As usual, when we are hungry,we tend to over order. The 2 other girls came just when it was almost our turn.We were super excited when we were called in.After handing our order over to the staff, the food came in no time.We were totally not expecting such a speed. But it's good as we were really starving already.

The highly raved Baked Bun with BBQ Pork ($4.50)
The fact that they limit only 3 pieces per customer already tells how popular this dish is.And it was really super good!
I have never tried anything like that before. The bun was crispy yet soft and the bbq pork was yummy.

Congee with Lean Pork,Century Egg and Salted Egg ($4.20)
I didn't really try this cos Zhiwei and Sheryl were sharing it.Heard it wasn't exactly piping hot when it came.

Glutinous Rice Dumpling ($5.00)
It came as a shock cos it was so big!I'm not a fan of glutinous rice but it was Zhiwei's favourite. She was struggling to finish it haha.

Pork Dumpling with Shrimp ($5.00)
My must-order everytime I have dim sum.But actually siew mai tastes about the same no matter where I order it at.I guess this one is not an exception too.But not that bad either!

Vermicelli Roll with Shrimp and BBQ Pork ($5.50 each)
I love vermicelli rolls!I can't really eat shrimps/prawns so I would mostly eat the one with BBQ Pork.Love how the sauce is always so fragrant and complements the vermicelli rolls!Thumbs up!

Pan Fried Carrot Cake ($4.50)
One of their so called Big 4 Heavenly Kings.

Beancurd Skin Roll with Shrimp ($5.50)
I almost forgot we ordered this cos it was placed in a blind spot and when I realized it,it was all gone. But anyway there's shrimps inside too haiz.So many dishes has shrimps inside whyyyyy.Damn allergy.

Prawn Dumpling ($5.50)
Didn't touch the Har Gao at all.Prawnsssss....

Spring Roll with Egg White ($4.20)
It was awesomezzzzz!I believe it was just fried as I nearly scalded my tongue when I bit on it.Quite an interesting dish and it turned out quite well.I liked it alot but not too good to eat lots of it as it was deep fried.

Pork Rib with Black Bean Sauce ($4.20)
Just take a look at the amount of dishes we ordered.Crazy right? The bill came up to be about $101.Didn't really expect that.Oh well, the price to pay for over ordering. We ended up packing some of the remaining food home cos I don't like to force myself to finish up the food if I'm full. That is one reason why my boyfriend always end up clearing the remaining food for me haha!

After our satisfying lunch,as it was still early,we hung around Plaza Singapura while waiting for 4.30pm to arrive as Sheryl starts work at that time.Went over to First Day to look for XX.Finally managed to bump into her cos everytime when I go to Plaza Singapura, she wasn't working.Like no fate.Jojo and I chatted with her for a while before walking around to pass time.We sent Sheryl to Monoyono and she immediately had work to do even though she was early. We went on to look around the shop.Below are the photos I took. They sell really intersting stuff and I love some quotes on the frames and boards that they were selling.

Jojo with the undersized sofa and cute teddy!

The sofa that costs $500+ but isn't selling anymore

It was a good sunday afternoon spent with the girls!

Monday again tomorrow.I believe this week will pass as fast as usual.6 more days to BKK trip!
